A baby girl may have been left with permanent damage to her right eye after medical glue got in it. The parent's of 13-moth-old Kaysie Glover face an anxious wait following the incident at a south Essex medical centre.
Lucie Stow, 26, and her partner Luke Glover, 25, an engineer, will hear from specialists at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London today what lasting damage has been done, although they have already been told the top layer of their daughter's eye has been burned away by the glue.
The family have already been passed between Basildon and Southend hospitals, before finally deciding themselves to take their daughter to Moorfields A&E. Miss Stow, a PE teacher, said: "We don't know if there will be any permanent damage. When i called Moorfields they said to get there straight away."(Lees meer...)
