Generous customers at a hairdressers in Marlpool have raised £400 for the Moorfield Eye Hospital.
Staff at The Salon on Ilkeston Road organised Christmas and Easter raffles to raise funds for the hospital...

...where owner Marisa Ellis' son David was treated for his eye condition.

David has since gone on to represent Britain as a swimmer at the Paralympics and hopes to compete in London 2012.
